Welcome to your interactive astrophotography portal! This website projects real astrophotography images directly onto an interactive 3D map of the celestial sphere using WCS astronomical alignment. Here is how to use the site:
Pan & Zoom: Click and drag anywhere on the sky map to move around the night sky. Scroll your mouse wheel or pinch on mobile touchscreens to zoom in and out.
Celestial Surveys: Click the survey dropdown in the top header to switch background surveys between Optical (DSS2/PanSTARRS), Infrared (2MASS/WISE), and H-Alpha.
Filter Catalog: Use the left sidebar to search by target name or filter by Object Type (Nebula, Galaxy, Star Cluster), Telescope, or Constellation.
Locate on Map: Click Locate on any photo card to fly the sky map directly to that object's position in space.
Show All Photos: Master toggle to turn all photo overlays on or off on the sky map simultaneously.
Map Layer Switches: Use the switch on any photo card to toggle individual photo projections on or off one by one.
Footprints & Labels: Toggle FOV framing borders and target name badges on or off.
Opacity Slider: Adjust the transparency of photo overlays against the background sky survey.
Click any photo card to open the Detail Inspection Modal. Explore high-resolution previews, exact RA/Dec astronomical coordinates, FOV sky dimensions, and raw FITS metadata headers parsed directly from capture logs.
